Spelling

The spelling programme that is used in Room 6,7 and 8 is specifically designed for your child's learning needs. At the beginning of the term your child was tested to see what spelling level they will be working on. Each Monday your child will write down 10-20 spelling words that they are learning. The amount of words depends on the level that they are working on. Throughout the week there will be opportunities for your child to learn and understand more about the words they are learning. On Friday they will be tested by a friend and their score will be recorded. When they get 90% for 3 weeks in a row they have the opportunity to set a test to move up to the next level. 

Christian Living art project for the next 2 weeks. 
Information will be going home on Monday about this.

Maths sheet

Each Monday your child is given a maths worksheet that is at their level. This needs to be completed and handed in to be marked on Friday. If this is not completed by 9am on Friday or is left at home your child will complete it during their lunchtime on Friday.  

Reading - this is optional 

It is also recommended that your child read for 15-20 minutes every night. This is not compulsory. A record of this can be kept in your child's homework diary.
